Description
Snap election in the Netherlands. After the coalition collapsed over asylum policy, the country will hold another parliamentary vote on October 29. The key question is whether Geert Wilders and his right-wing populist PVV will again emerge as the strongest force and take part in forming a government. At the same time, a united left bloc of Social Democrats and Greens is running, which could reshape the political landscape. Given the highly fragmented party system, the outcome is completely open. The only clear point is that forming a government is likely to be lengthy and complicated.
